The Foundation is committed to supporting small to mid-sized visionary organizations that enable women and girls to achieve their full potential

In carrying out its mission, the Foundation prefers to fund organizations that foster supportive female relationships through programs and services that promote:

Positive body image
Self-esteem development
Goal setting and sound decision making
Healthy living and nutrition
Personal wellness and/or positive relationships
Professional development and life skills
Personal accountability
An understanding and appreciation for diversity

Geographical Areas

The Foundation currently makes grants to organizations located in under-served neighborhoods in three major U.S. cities:

Chicago
Los Angeles
New York City

Funding Policies

The Tyra Banks TZONE Foundation does not accept unsolicited applications or proposals. Grants are made to:

Nonprofit charitable organizations which are tax exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code
Programs that reach the urban, under-served neighborhoods of Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City
Programs serving at-risk girls and women, ages 13-35
Small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations at least four years old, typically an annual operating budget of $500,000 to $1.5 million

The Foundation does not make grants to:

Individuals
Candidates seeking public office
Publication of books or development of video or film productions
Endowment funds
Churches, synagogues, mosques or other religious institutions
Organizations that have not been invited to apply for funding.

Does the Foundation offer camps for girls?

TZONE Foundation no longer offers camps or other programs for girls. TZONE is now a national grant-making foundation that raises funds and provides financial support to visionary organizations that reach under-served girls and women, offer programs that foster supportive female relationships, and help women and girls to reach their full potential. In this capacity, TZONE is able to provide more support to girls and women in major cities beyond Los Angeles.

Does the Foundation accept unsolicited letters of inquiry, proposals or applications?

TZONE does not accept unsolicited letters of inquiry, proposals or applications for funding. Organizations must be invited by TZONE Foundation to submit a request for funding.
